With online gambling in the UK reaching an age of maturity with little opportunity for expansion and diversity, the Virgin Group, led by entrepreneur, Richard Branson is bringing online BINGO to the USA through their Virgin Casino subsidiary in partnership with the well known Tropicana Casino.
The latest of the US states to legalise online gambling, New Jersey, as with all things new, has been going through some growing pains, and Virgin has been making inroads to obtain a license and offer the first BINGO online in the US.
Once established in New Jersey it is reported that Virgin will be looking at the bigger markets such as California that has a population of some 40 million, and more lucrative. Californians clearly have a penchant for gambling, but state legislature has been dragging their heels for the past six years. Licensee, Gamesys received a 425 million pound injection from the Intertain Group for a suite of key brands that will be used in the US.
Virgin CEO, Simon Burridge stated that California and Florida have been set as initial targets in the US as well as international markets in Spain, France and SOUTH AFRICA. Virgin Casino is on the brink of a multifaceted front to take the online gambling industry by storm.
